Emirates to add two flights on Dubai-Toronto-Dubai route from August 18

Emirates is planning to introduce two additional flights to its Toronto (YYZ) service, to complement its existing schedule. The additional Toronto flights will be introduced on August 18, 2018 and will operate on a Saturday departing Dubai as EK241 at 0330 hrs and arrive in Toronto at 0930 hrs. The return flight, EK242, leaves Toronto at 1425 hrs and arrives in Dubai at 1140 hrs the next day. On Sundays, EK241 will depart at 03.30 hrs and arrive in Toronto at 09.30 hrs. Emirates to operate extra flights for busy Hajj season

Emirates will be operating extra flights to Jeddah and Medina to help facilitate travel for pilgrims heading to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj. Emirates will be operating 33 additional flights to Jeddah and Medina from 6 to 31 August to support the journey for pilgrims expected to travel to the Holy City of Mecca during Hajj this year. Emirates to fly to Pakistan on July 8

Emirates has announced that it will deploy a one-off A380 service to Islamabad on 8 July 2018. The airline’s iconic double-decker will make its inaugural arrival in Islamabad on a special flight EK2524/EK2525. The A380 flight will depart Dubai on 8 July 2018 at 08 am and arrive in Islamabad at 12.10 pm. Emirates reverses decision, will serve ‘Hindu meal’ on flights

Following strong reaction and demand from the passengers to reverse the decision to take off ‘Hindu meal’ from its menu, Emirates has decided to reinstate the ‘Hindu meal option’ for its passengers. “Based on feedback from our customers, Emirates confirms we will continue to provide a ‘Hindu meal option’, to make it easier for our Hindu customers to identify and request this option. The decision to discontinue ‘Hindu meal option’ had created a stir on the social media with passengers calling for reversal of the decision by the airline. Emirates has introduced 3D seat models on emirates.com, becoming the first airline to introduce web virtual reality (VR) technology on its digital platform. Emirates will stop serving ‘Hindu Meals’ on flights

UAE to allow two days stay for transit passengers through Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports

Transit passenger flying to other international destinations will enjoy a short stay over of two days at Dubai and Abu Dhabi without paying any visa fee. United Arab Emirates has decided to grant free transit visas for two days, which can also be extended for up to 96 hours by paying 50 Dirham (nearly Rs 930). Emirates enhances Luanda service

Emirates announced that it will reinstate two weekly flights between Luanda and Dubai, increasing capacity to five flights per week between the two cities, starting from 1 July 2018. Emirates has launched a new non-stop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Dubai from 1 June 2018, adding to its existing daily flight which operates with a stop in Athens, Greece. The new non-stop service is operated with an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER, offering 8 suites in First Class, 42 seats in Business, 306 in Economy Class, and 19 tonnes of belly-hold cargo capacity. Delta flights to launch in India by 2019

Delta Air Lines has announced it will resume nonstop flights next year between United States and India’s financial capital, Mumbai. The airline is crediting recent U S agreements with Qatar and the United Arab Emirates over alleged subsidies to three big Arabian Gulf carriers that also fly to India. Delta said it will announce the schedule details later this year.
