Spain Tourism experiences slow growth, as rivals recover

Tourism sector of Spain saw slow growth in 2018, as the rival countries like Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia recovered during the time. It was revealed by a report by industry lobby group Exceltur The sector ratcheted up USD 162 billion in sales, 2 per cent more than in 2017, as per a recent report; while that growth was slower than in previous years. Second Sphinx said to be found in Egypt

Some recent news says, construction workers has found a statue of ‘lion’s body with a human head’, underneath, while they were working on a road at Al Kabbash. The new statue is said to be found between the temples of Karnak and Luxor. Officials has confirmed the statue of Great Sphinx of Giza in Egypt was near the Great Pyramids on the west bank. Egypt launches digital Instagram channel to promote tourism

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism has recently launched a digital TV channel on Instagram’s view-platform IGTV, with an aim to attract tourists to Egypt through online marketing. The channel, “Experience Egypt”, launched on Instagram’s view-platform IGTV, will be broadcast through the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion’s official page, and has been dubbed as the first of its kind in the Middle East. “The Ministry of Tourism is currently looking into launching more promotional campaigns across the most influential and focused platforms to spread its scope across wider populace,” said the ministry in a statement. “The ministry is focusing on important social ... Egypt tourism revenues achieve huge growth in first quarter

Egypt’s tourist sector achieved humongous growth as the revenue for first quarter touched $2.2 billion, recording a rise of 83.3 per cent. The report also reveals that the Arab nation had a tourist footfall of almost 2.383 million tourists, recording an increase in visitors by 37.1 per cent. The report also suggests that tourist nights reached $23.8 million in the same period. As per the report of Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the country has received around 7,30,000 tourists in February 2018, registering a 35 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Kuwait Airways suspends flights to Beirut

Kuwait Airways has announced that it has suspended flights to Beirut because of security concerns. According to the airline, the decision was made following “serious warnings” from authorities in Cyprus. Earlier, Lebanon’s national airline, Middle East airline, said it was rerouting some flights because of the “recent security situation” between the United States and Syria.
