Indian scientists discover materials that self-repair mechanical damages

New materials may soon make it possible for damaged electronic components, such as in space crafts, to mend themselves. The materials recently developed by scientists can repair their own mechanical damages with the electrical charges generated by the mechanical impact on them. Devices that we use daily often break down due to mechanical damage, forcing us either to repair or replace them. This decreases the life of the equipment and increases maintenance costs. Kadamakudy Panchayat issues NOC to Tourism Project

Kadamakudy grama panchayat has issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to a Rs. 5-crore project to be undertaken by the Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) to improve rural tourism at the island cluster. Generating revenue for the panchayat, the project will be carried out adhering to CRZ norms and without affecting ecology. The village tourism project will set up infrastructure at the panchayat mainly for farm and aqua tourism. Bicycle sharing system is coming up in Kozhikode city

Cycle transport in the city will be promoted as part of “Our Kozhikode” project. The aim is to make Kozhikode a green city. Restrictions lifted; Tourism centers opened in Kodagu

Daily test positivity rates have dropped and restrictions in Kodagu have been lifted. The third phase of lockdown exemptions, including the Bangalore City District, came into effect on July 5.
