Kadamakudy grama panchayat has issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to a Rs. 5-crore project to be undertaken by the Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) to improve rural tourism at the island cluster. Generating revenue for the panchayat, the project will be carried out adhering to CRZ norms and without affecting ecology. Daily test positivity rates have dropped and restrictions in Kodagu have been lifted. The third phase of lockdown exemptions, including the Bangalore City District, came into effect on July 5.
