Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has chosen Thomas Cook (India) to sign a strategic agreement that involves bringing more tourists from India to Sentosa. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed between Mahesh Iyer, Executive Director and CEO, Thomas Cook (India) and Quek Swee Kuan, CEO, SDC in Mumbai. Japan National Tourism Organization along with Thomas Cook & All Nippon Airways is conducting a joint promotional activity to promote tourism to Japan from the Indian Market at both domestic and international airports of Mumbai. The promotional activity, which started from 15th February 2019, will end on 21st February. Istabul, Turkey Turkey’s currency, lira has reached an all-time low against the pound, stimulating a rush in inbound tourists from UK. Lira reached 0.15 against pound sterling, resulted from a continuous decline during the past twelve months. The decrease in value during this period is around 35 per cent. Thomas Cook (India) has been selected as a preferred partner for the Tourism Industry Partnership (TIP) Programme between Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) and Immigration New Zealand (INZ). The TIP programme between Tourism New Zealand and Immigration New Zealand will focus on streamlining the visa process for Indian visitors to New Zealand.
