China’s winter tourism attracts nearly 200 mln tourists

Around 197 million people visited China to take part in winter tourism between November 2017 and March 2018, says an annual report released by the China Tourism Academy. The cost associated with winter tourism has been decreasing while the public shows increasing interest in participating, said Han Yuanjun, editor-in-chief of the report. Winter tourism is conducive to rural vitalization and local economic transformation, the report said. Abu Dhabi successfully completes tourism roadshow to China

The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism – (DCT Abu Dhabi) said it has successfully concluded a roadshow taking in three major cities in China. The roadshow, which took in Beijing, Nanjing and Guangzhou, aims to help raise awareness about the emirate as a holiday destination for Chinese travellers. Statistics show that in the first two months of 2018, 86,400 Chinese visited the Emirate, with February alone accounting for a 83.6 per cent increase. The Department is targeting 600,000 Chinese hotel guests a year by 2021. Abu Dhabi concludes three-city roadshow to China

A tourism delegation led by the Department of Culture and Tourism– Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has successfully concluded three-day, three city roadshow in China. The DCT Abu Dhabi conducted the roadshow to help raise awareness about the emirate as a holiday destination for Chinese travellers. The delegation, which included Etihad Airways, hotels, tour operators and attractions, visited Beijing on 19th March, followed by Nanjing on the 21st and Guangzhou on the 23rd.
