Smartron unveils India’s first e-bike Tronx One

Smartron’s Tronx Motors has announced the launch of Tronx One, an electric cycle with an approximate on-battery run-in range of 45-50 km per charge. The e-cycle is priced at Rs 49,999 and would be available in magma red and pacific blue colour option. Tronx is currently undertaking pre-orders, which would start to ship the first batch of consumers from July 16 onwards. A crossover of a bicycle and an electric bike, Tronx One is capable of reaching a speed of up to 25 km/hr and comes with multiple ride modes. If you don’t have a parking space, you won’t be able to buy a car in Bengaluru

Those who don’t have parking area nearby their home cannot buy a car in Bangaluru now onwards. It was followed by an instruction from the state, the Minister for Transport D D Thamanna has made such an announcement.  However, the minister said that an awareness campaign will be launched before imposing this rule in the city.

E-buses to roll on Kerala roads

Gold Stone Infratech Ltd, Secunderabad is the manufactures of the bus. Their BYD K9 model of the e-bus is opted by KSRTC. It is a 40 seater bus with modern amenities like CCTV camera, GPS and other entertainment facilities. Driverless cars to rule Dubai streets by 2020

Acacus Technologies has just signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to bring driverless technology to Dubai’s roads by 2020. The company is all set to revamp the entire fleet of Dubai Police’s cars so that the city’s streets will be patrolled by driverless vehicles by 2020. The MoU was signed by the general command of the Dubai Police department, major-general Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police and founder and CEO of Acacus Technologies, Talal Ben Halim. Emirates and Formula 1 renew global partnership

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, and Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport, announced that they have renewed and expanded their partnership until the end of 2022. Emirates has been an F1 Global Partner since 2013, and the renewed agreement will see the airline enjoy an expanded branding and consumer activation presence at over 15 races on the FIA Formula One World Championship calendar across Europe, Asia, Australia, North America and South America. The Supreme Court was told that 22 models of electric cars of various vehicle manufacturers would be available in India soon. Major vehicle manufacturers like Tata and Mahindra have been pushing very hard for it. The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) is organising the 2nd edition of the Goa Vintage Bike and Car Festival to celebrate the Goa’s rich history of automobiles. The event will display entries from Goa as well as from other parts of the country at the Inox Courtyard – an iconic heritage structure that dates back to the 1800s. German luxury car makers BMW has officially launched the new BMW X3 exclusively in India. Ola to add 10,000 electric autos in an year

Ola said it will add 10,000 electric three-wheelers to its fleet over the next 12 months as part of a plan to promote the use of electric vehicles. Ola plans to have 1 million electric vehicles on offer by 2021, said Ola in a statement. The company also said that it will work with various state governments, vehicle manufacturers and battery companies to meet its target. Ola will introduce the electric three-wheelers in three cities. Dubai to introduce digital number plates

Dubai Drivers will soon be driving vehicles which flashes digital number plates. The trial-run for the same is expected to be kick-started in May. The vehicles will be fitted with smart plates with digital screens, GPS and transmitters, reports BBC. The new plates will be able to inform emergency services if a driver has an accident. The technology is reported to be helping the drivers in contacting the police and ambulance services if the vehicle is involved in a collision. Qatar Tourism Authority trains desert safari guides and drivers

Qatar Tourism Authority’s (QTA) Tour Guide Training and Licensing programme has now been extended to include desert safari guides in Qatar. The programme, which will begin on April 15, 2018, will involve training all drivers of 4×4 tourism vehicles. The training will be provided by Doha Off-road Training Centre and will see guides hone their skills across all aspects of off-road driving including safety, navigation, convoy driving and emergency handling. Toyota, Suzuki enters partnership, to exchange Brezza, Baleno, Corolla

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) and Suzuki Motor Corporation (Suzuki) have  entered in to a partnership toward the mutual supply of hybrid and other vehicles between the two companies for the Indian market. Suzuki will supply Baleno and Vitara Brezza vehicle models to Toyota, while Toyota will supply Corolla vehicle model to Suzuki.
