Thailand Offers Golf Quarantine for Foreign Nationals

The Ministry of Public Health’s Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) Thailand has announced that foreign golfers with advance arrangements for golfing in Thailand will be allowed to undergo a golf quarantine as an alternative local state quarantine option. During the quarantine period, foreign golfers will be able to enjoy golfing and health-related activities at the golf course at their own expense, thus allowing the opportunity to undergo quarantine and enjoy golfing in Thailand at the same time. Cambodia announces Angkor Half Marathon and Cycling Championship in Jan

Siem Reap province will reorganize the National Cycling Championship and the 25th Angkor International Half Marathon this month after the postponement due to the COVID-19 crisis. The update was shared yesterday by Mr. Nou Chamroeun, Secretary-General of Cambodian Cycling Federation, adding that the 2020 National Cycling Championship will take place on Jan. 23, and the Angkor International Half Marathon 2020 on Jan. 24. Merry Fishmas –Santa’s surprise visit to Thai Aquarium

A big surprise was awaiting visitors at an aquarium in Thailand this week when Santa Claus swam by, carrying a sack full of food and surrounded by scores of curious fish. The aquarium at the basement of the Bangkok shopping mall was not the place, the families were expecting to see Santa Claus, equipped with fins, an oxygen tank, and a dive mask. Leading Hotels at Singapore directed to suspend bookings for breaching safe management measures

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has directed two Resorts World Sentosa hotels, the Beach Villas and Equarius Hotel, to suspend bookings for 1 month from 22 Dec 2020 to 21 Jan 2021 (both dates inclusive) for failing to comply with safety management measures (SMMs). The two hotels are not permitted to accept new bookings for the duration of the suspension. However, they are still permitted to fulfill existing bookings. To date, 10 hotels and hostels have been fined for breaching safe management measures, such as failing to conduct entry screening and/or record contact details of guests that enter their premises. ... Thailand’s tourism sector continues to safely and slowly reopen welcoming international travellers to the country with special tourist initiatives, while also remaining vigilant by enforcing strict public health guidelines to protect all during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Royal Thai Government recently lifted restrictions on the Special Tourist Visa (STV), which allows entry for tourists from any country or territory worldwide. Rare  Mix up by Airlines results flight landing at a different airport

Passengers bound for Nepal’s Janakpur were in for a surprise after they ended up in Pokhara, 255 kilometres away from the actual destination, after a rare flight mix-up by a leading private carrier, according to media reports. The incident happened on Friday to 69 passengers travelling on Buddha Air, The Kathmandu Post reported.
