Author Victoria Hislop to promote Greek Tourism

British best-selling author Victoria Hislop said she is interested to work with the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) to transform some of her short stories into films that will “introduce people to a different side of Greece”. Hislop has written several books based in Greece including the best-selling novel ‘The Island’. She expressed her interest addressing a press conference held by the GNTO at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2018. World Travel Market 2018 kick-starts in London

WTM London, held from November 5 to 7, has almost 170 exhibitors making their debut at this year. “Ideas Arrive Here” is the theme for the 38th edition of the show. The show expects some 50,000 delegates from 182 countries and regions, who will conduct even more business than last year’s record £3.1 billion. The new entrants include airlines, movie-set tour providers, adventure operators and sports venues, as well as tourist boards, destination marketing companies, tech innovators and car-hire companies.
