Virgin Atlantic to resume flights from India

Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will resume its India operations, under the air bubble arrangement between the UK and Indian government. The carrier plans to operate three flights a week from Delhi to London Heathrow, starting from September 2, and four flights a week from Mumbai to London, September 17 onwards. Both the destinations will offer connections to New York JFK and will operate on 787-9 Dreamliner. Virgin Atlantic will operate temporarily from Terminal 2 at Heathrow. Virgin Atlantic files for bankruptcy protection in the US

Virgin Atlantic has filed for bankruptcy in the United States as the global airline industry reels from the coronavirus pandemic. The company, which is based in the United Kingdom, filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy protection in New York on Tuesday, CNN has reported. Virgin Atlantic hasn’t been immune from the airline industry’s pandemic problems. In July, the company received a £1.2 billion ($1.5 billion) rescue deal to keep the airline solvent just days before it was due to resume passenger flights. Virgin Atlantic to resume London-Mumbai route from October 27

Virgin Atlantic is relaunching flights between London Heathrow and Mumbai, India, with flights on sale from May 28, 2019. The first service is set to commence on October 27, 2019 and will complement the airline’s long-established route between London and Delhi. The daily service will also provide seamless connections via Heathrow between India and the US.
