Thirteen new hill stations to come up in Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said the state was in the process of developing 13 new hill stations to give a boost to tourism as older destinations such as Nainital and Mussoorie had reached saturation. MoUs for tourism projects worth Rs 3000 crores signed for Uttarakhand

  Uttarakhand tourism to have tourism projects amounting to about Rs 3,600 crore, which will boost the tourism and hospitality industry of the state. MoUs for the projects were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj on the Investors Meet held on 4th October 2018.   Tourism has been one of the major revenue earners of Uttarakhand, the northern state of India. The state government is optimistic about the future of the state through development in the tourism sector. “The tourism sector has the potential to create jobs. Uttarakhand cabinet follows unique way to endorse tourism

The Uttarakhand cabinet followed a unique way to promote its tourism, as they met for the first time in a floating restaurant on the charming Tehri Lake. The ministers headed by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met inside ‘Floating Marina’, the boat which served as the restaurant in the middle of the lake. The cabinet approved 12 decisions during the meeting which will enhance the state’s tourism and aid better use of natural resources.
