ITB India to be postponed to April 2021

The ITB India, billed as the gateway to the Indian travel market, will now be held in April next year. The two-day event will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from April 7-9. The ITB India organisers will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates based on official assessment of the overall situation. It was supposed to be held this year from April 15-17. The organisers said the event has been postponed to ensure the safety of ITB India’s exhibitors, buyers and visitors, following the spread of COVID-19.

Messe Berlin to become member of the World Tourism Alliance

WTA’s Secretary-General, Liu Shijun and Dr Martin Buck, Senior Vice President, Travel & Logistics Messe Berlin Messe Berlin has been officially awarded membership of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), the first global non-governmental, nonprofit tourism organization, established in China on 12 September 2017. Members of the WTA include national tourism associations, influential tourism enterprises, academic institutes and other institutions from around the world. ITB China is an international Messe Berlin spin-off and set to take place from 15 to 17 May in Shanghai for the third time. ITB Berlin 2019 kick starts in Germany

ITB Berlin 2019 with some 10,000 exhibiting companies from 181 countries and regions, has kick started today. At the ITB Berlin Convention close to 400 leading speakers will discuss how the international tourism industry should respond to overtourism crises, the shift in customer demands, the threat of climate change, and new forms of transportation. Messe Berlin unveils plans to debut in India next year with ITB India

Messe Berlin said it will be organising the inaugural ITB India in 2020. The three-day business-to-business travel trade show and convention will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India, from April 15th-17th next year. The show is expected to bring together key travel industry leaders and buyers from cities across India, and international exhibitors from the MICE, leisure and corporate sectors. ITB India will also have a Hosted Buyers’ Programme that will cater to buyers from first, second, and third tier cities in India.
