ITF & IATA urge governments across the world to protect aviation industry

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) have called for support from governments to the aviation industry, to protect jobs and ensure that air services can be maintained. The economic situation facing the aviation industry is severe. Air passenger demand is down 80%. Airline travel slump needs immediate govt redressal

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has stepped up calls for government support, warning that the travel meltdown could lead to many of the airlines facing steep losses within the next two months. IATA CEO Alexandre de Juniac said the risk of further bankruptcies will depend on the intensity and the duration of the coronavirus crisis. India ranks third in domestic air passenger traffic growth: IATA

The domestic market of India continues to perform strongly, again registering double digit growth over the year to February, according to International Air Transport Association (IATA). China and Russia topped the growth chart with 11.4 per cent and 10.1 per cent year-on-year growth rates respectively. This marks the 54th consecutive month of double-digit domestic RPK growth for India. A generally solid economic backdrop, combined with continued growth in the number of airport pairs have all contributed to this sustained growth performance. IATA join hands with Civil Aviation ministry

World airline trade association IATA (International Air Transport Association) joins hands with Ministry of Civil Aviation and Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University(RGNAU), to strengthen human resource possibility over India’s aviation industry.
