The expo is organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India with a concept – Global Housing Technology Challenge – India (GHTC- India), which aims to identify and mainstream a basket of innovative technologies from across the globe that are sustainable and disaster-resilient. PM Modi inaugurated the event in New Delhi today. While addressing the gathering, Modi  reiterated the need of focusing on disaster-resilience, energy efficiency, and local innovative construction systems in the country.
