Dressed in festive finery and with excitement writ large on their faces, hundreds of people from tribal communities from across the country witnessed exuberant performances on the opening day of the National Tribal Dance Festival here on Thursday. Mumbai’s Byculla Zoo to reopen for visitors on Nov 1

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday announced that the Veermata Jijamata Udyan, popularly known as Byculla Zoo, here will be open to visitors from November 1. The civic body had shut the zoo in April amid the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a release issued by the BMC, the zoo will be open for visitors from 9.30 am to 6 pm, while morning walkers can use the premises between 6 am and 8.30 am. SpiceJet announces launch of 28 new domestic flights

SpiceJet will launch 28 new domestic flights across the country from October 31 onwards, the airline said Monday. It will launch multiple new non-stop flights connecting the tourist hotspots of Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan with key metros and cities as part of its new winter schedule, SpiceJet said in a statement. SpiceJet will also connect Bagdogra with Ahmedabad, Kolkata with Srinagar and add two new flights on the Bengaluru-Pune sector, it said. Qantas to start flights on Sydney-Delhi route from Dec 6

Australian airline company Qantas on Friday said it will start operating flights on the Sydney-Delhi route from December 6 onwards. Qantas said the Sydney-Delhi flight is its first commercial service between Australia and India in almost a decade. “Flights from Sydney to Delhi would operate via Darwin, while flights from Delhi to Sydney would operate nonstop,” the airline’s statement noted. In line with current Australian government regulations, these flights are limited to Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate families and parents.
