Being in Kerala is bliss; absolutely safe to visit: Virat Kohli

Team India is playing an ODI in Thiruvananthapuram after a long gap, and the teams have landed in the Kerala capital today afternoon to a grand welcome. After receiving the grand ceremonial welcome with traditional drums (Chenda melam), Virat Kohli and Co. are now at the Leela Raviz Kovalam, which provides a breath-taking view of the Arabian sea.

The Indian caption is all praise for the God’s own Country and its beauty and hospitality. “Being in Kerala is nothing short of bliss. I love coming here and love the energy of the whole place. The beauty of Kerala is something to be experienced and I would recommend to everyone that they come here and experience the energy of God’s own Country. Kerala is surely back to its feet and absolutely safe to come to. Thanks to this amazing place for making me feel happy everytime I am here,” noted Virat Kohli in the visitors book at the Leela Raviz.

The team was received in the capital city of Kerala by huge number of fans. The Leela Raviz Kovalam, built by world-renowned architect Charles Correa, have prepared a special menu for the Indian team which provides a real taste of Kerala cuisine in all its richness. “We have got a huge collection of a variety of seafood which includes prawns, crabs and fish, especially, pearl spot- a traditional delicacy of our state, that has been sourced from a few places,” said R Sreejith, Senior Manager of the hotel.

India and West Indies will play the fifth and final ODI on November 1 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Team India landed  after decimating West Indies in the fourth ODI in Mumbai, with a lead of 2-1 in the five-match ODI series against West Indies. The Men in Blue have to avoid a defeat at the Green Park stadium on Thursday to clinch the series.
