Rs.15,000 crore package for the Tourism sector

The RBI has been announced a 15,000 crore loan package for assisting sectors including tourism, hotels, and restaurants, which are facing severe crisis due to the expansion of covid. Loans are available only to travel agencies, tour operators, supply chain companies, private bus operators, car workshops, car rental companies, event organizers, spas, beauty parlors/salons, and aviation ground handling. Strict Police action in Kovalam tourism sector

Kovalam is being tightened by the police. Kovalam police are cracking down on widespread complaints that employees of shops, hotels, and restaurants operating in the tourism sector are interacting with visitors without following covid standards. Tourism Sector has created 14.62 million jobs during the last four years, thus becoming the leading sector in the economy in terms of job creation, said Minister for State for Tourism (I/C), K J Alphons. He said that all segments of the society benefit from the tourism sector, as it creates employment opportunities at all levels.
