Tourism Ministry extends validity of certification of hotels, tour operators to June 30

The Union Tourism Ministry has extended the validity of certification of hotels and the travel agents, tour operators, adventure tour operators, domestic tour operators and tourist transport operators till June 30. According to a note issued to this effect on Tuesday, the ministry said, “The decision was taken considering the current situation when the hospitality industry is going through a very difficult time in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown that has severely impacted the accommodation sector. Tourism Ministry launches new webinar series to promote Indian destinations

The Union Tourism Ministry has launched a new webinar series called ”Dekho Apna Desh” to provide in-depth information on several destinations and the expanse of the culture and heritage of India. The first webinar touched upon the long history of Delhi. It was titled “City of Cities — Delhi”s Personal Diary”, the ministry said. The webinar will be available in the public domain soon.
