Oman tightens restrictions; These are the new orders

The Supreme Committee announced further restrictions in the wake of the Covid expansion. During the month of Ramadan, night travel and trade bans were imposed. Access to Oman was restricted to nationals and resident visa holders. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Supreme Committee chaired by the Home Minister. During the month of Ramadan, the ban lasts from eight at night to four in the morning. Currently, travel and trade bans are from 8 pm to 5 am. This will continue until April 8. International flights are not available until March 31

The Director-General of Civil Aviation has extended the restrictions on international passenger flights due to the Covid disease until March 31. However, the restrictions do not apply to cargo flights approved by the DGCI. At the same time, the order states that international services will be allowed on selected routes depending on the circumstances. In the wake of Covid, the country imposed restrictions on international flights last March. Since then, regulation in other parts of the country has eased, but restrictions on international flights remain. By the end of last year, domestic flights were allowed in the country.

Hotel Quarantine made a  must for Air travellers to Canada starting Feb. 22

Air travellers to Canada will have to quarantine in a hotel for three days at their own expense starting February 22. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau released the official date at a press conference on February 12, about two weeks after introducing the new coronavirus safety measure. Air travellers must also take a quarantine test once they arrive at the airport. The prime minister said that the three-day quarantine in a government facility is meant to allow enough time for the results of a PCR test to come through.
