Environmental activists have raised their voices against the Karnataka Tourism Department’s plans to launch new helicopter tourism. The government is planning to start heli tourism in Mysore. Last month, Karnataka Tourism Minister C.P. Yogeshwar has made it clear that government will start heli tourism in Mysore. The heli tourism project is taking place in the forest in front of the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel in Mysore. For this, more than 150 trees will have to be cut down.
