Junkar service started to Conolly’s plot; a major tourist destination in Malappuram
The Forest Department has started the Junkar service to Conolly’s Plot, a major tourist destination in Malappuram district. Nilambur North DFO K J Martin Lowel flagged off. Municipal Chairman Mattummal Saleem, Vice-Chairperson Aruma Jayakrishnan, ACF Jose Mathew, and Range Officer Imrose Elias Navas were present. The suspension bridge to the historic teak plantation across the Chaliyar was destroyed in the 2019 floods, which cut off access to the tourism center.
