Urban Tourism hub to be set up in Muvattupuzha for Domestic Tourists

The Urban Tourism Hub will be started as the headquarters of the Municipal Park for domestic tourists under the auspices of the Corporation. Plans are also afoot to turn Muvattupuzha, the district’s satellite city, into a G_water Sports Hub. A major project will be implemented, including the construction of a floating bridge across the Thodupuzha River to connect it to the park. It will be jointly implemented by the Corporation and the State Tourism Department. The tourism hub is based on the municipality’s Dreamland Park. The existing park will be upgraded to world-class standards.

The main attraction will be the restaurant which serves a variety of food and drinks. Adventure rides that can be used by both children and adults will also be established. There will be world-class toys and a special playground. The floating bridge will be constructed in such a way that it can be removed and stored during floods. The length of the existing riverside walkway will be increased. In addition to upgrading the existing road, a new riverside walkway will be constructed from the bridge to Latha bridge and from Triveni Sangamam to Kacherithazham.

The aim is to provide entertainment facilities for 7000 to 8000 people per day. The fest will be organized every year to attract the attention of people from other regions as well. Apart from this, boat service will be started on Thodupuzha and Muvattupuzha rivers. In the first phase, a pleasure boat ride will be set up from the park to the Chalikadavu bridge and the Kacherithazham. Kayaks and Thuzha Vanchi will be arranged in the river for water sports.
