The Cultural City is getting ready for Thrissur Pooram!

After a gap of one year, Thrissur is all set to regain the excitement and joy of Pooram. Thrissur Pooram will be held on April 23 this year. The district is gearing up to make Pooram better without losing any of its pride. As in previous years, the festival will have all the ceremonies this time. But this time the Pooram will be with strict restrictions considering the covid situation.

From the opening of the south door to the welcome of the Pooram, this Pooram will have all the Kudamattam, fireworks, and Pakal pooram. In addition, permission has been granted for the Pooram exhibition. The organizers are in the final stages of preparations to launch the Pooram Exhibition on April 10. The number of stalls has been reduced by a third this time. The move is part of covid controls. The Pooram exhibition will be held for 45 days.

This time Pooram and other events will be held in strict compliance with the covid protocol. Although the participation of the people will be controlled, the Pooram will be held this time as in the previous years. Masks and social distance are mandatory for those entering the Poorapparamb.
