Casino Hotel and Brunton Boatyard have become the first hotels in south India to get the Workplace Assessment for Safety and Hygiene (WASH) certification from the Quality Council of India (QCI), CGH Earth has announced.

QCI is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry that governs ISO and NABH certifications.

“CGH Earth has always consciously tried to create a safe and hygienic environment. We are happy to announce that Brunton Boatyard and Casino Hotel have been certified by WASH. The rest of our hotels and resorts will follow soon,” said Michael Dominic, CEO, CGH Earth.

“The well being of our guests, staff, partners, vendors and the community has always been our priority. Our hygiene standards have always been on par with international standards,” he said.

The QCI certification assessment is based on compliance of requirements set by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines.

“We are proud of our staff for supporting us in this endeavour and making it a complete success. This shows the level of commitment of our Quality Control Division in making our hotels, resorts and wellbeing centres safe during this pandemic,” the CEO said.
