Odisha to organise international coastal festival near Konark from December 14

Government of Odisha has decided to organise an international-level coastal festival, ‘Marine Drive Eco Retreat’, near Konark from December 14, 2019 to January 14, 2020. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The festival, to be held on the Marine Drive, will have cultural programmes, 3D mapping, food festivals and adventure and water sports. A luxurious tent cottage with 50 rooms will come up with water, electricity and parking facilities. The spot will be beautified with lighting and other decors.

“The drive festival, along with the developmental projects and the Samuka project in Puri are expected to enhance tourism potentials of Konark,” said an official release.
