Jio DTH to offer HD channels at Rs 400

Telecom giant Jio, after the 4G internet revolution, is about to change its momentum through introducing Jio Direct to home (DTH) service. According to various media sources, the so-called Jio DTH Service is said to offer SD (Standard Definition) channels for a monthly price of Rs 200 and SD + HD (High Definition) channels for Rs 400.

Also, the new service would work under Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS). It is a technology that works with the combination of both TV channels and digital radio architecture, which provides HD contents seamlessly.

Meanwhile, Jio also plans to introduce Massive MIMO pre-5G/ 4G technology at Mumbai, that offers more internet access speed and connectivity.
