Great Indian Travel Bazaar set to sweep the Pink City

The much-awaited 2018 edition of Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) is about to hit the Pink City, which is also known as the Paris of India. Regarded as the biggest travel and tourism event held annually in India, FICCI GITB is expected to add another feather in the cap of this historical city by turning it into a tourism hub. Jaipur’s growing reputation as a tourism hotspot, speaks volumes for its chances of becoming a heritage centre in India and its suitability to host an event for the tourism players across the world to chart new growth strategies and discuss and share new developments in the field.

GITB’18 would once again be the intensive and sharp focus on Inbound Tourism and Buyer – Seller Meet spread over two days. It shall result in significant transacting and capitalizing on business opportunities between International buyers and Indian sellers.
Over 2000 delegates from India and abroad are expected to attend GITB 2018. It will be instrumental in putting tourist destinations in India on the itineraries of the foreign buyers.

The Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), will co-organize the 10th Great Indian Travel Bazaar from April 22-24, 2018, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB),  the only exclusive Inbound Tourism Event in India, is the flagship event of FICCI Tourism. GITB has been successfully conducted for 9 yearly editions from 2008 to 2017 at Jaipur.

GITB would be offering a wide range of products covering heritage, adventure, wildlife, healthcare, leisure, eco-rural, M.I.C.E., pilgrimage and other segments. Around 96000 structured and pre-scheduled B2B meetings will be held between the 2775 Buyers and 2330 Indian Sellers in two days at the booths of the Sellers. Gujarat and West Bengal are the Theme States of GITB 2018 whereas Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana Tourism are the Partner States. Punjab and Goa are also participating in the GITB 2018.

The inauguration of GITB 2018 will be held at Hotel Lalit on April 22nd and would be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje. K J Alphons, Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism, Govt. of India would be the Guest of Honour. Rahul Chakravarthy, Consultant of FICCI Tourism; Ambika Sharma, Director General (International), FICCI, Dr Jyotsna Suri, Past President of FICCI and CMD of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group; Dr Sanjaya Baru, Secretary General, FICCI; Rashmi Varma, Tourism Secretary, Govt. of India; Dr Subodh Agarwal, Additional Chief Srecretary, Govt. of Rajasthan and Krishnendu Kaur (Deepa), Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism, Art & Culture, Govt. of Rajasthan, will also be present at the inaugural function.

The Exhibition and B2B meetings would be held at JECC Jaipur between April 23 and 24.
