Ileana D’Cruz chosen the Brand Ambassador for Fiji Tourism in India

Bollywood diva IIeana D’Cruz has been chosen as the brand ambassador for Tourism Fiji in the Indian sector. By the new move, the Fiji Tourism board plans to exhibit more of its tourism products for the travellers in India.

Faiyaz Siddiq Koya, Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Government of Fiji said, “Fiji and India share an age-old connection with over 40 per cent of Fiji’s population being of Indian origin”.

“We celebrate Indian festivals such as Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi in Fiji too. Now tourism is fast becoming a key point of connection for both countries. With Ileana D’Cruz as our Brand Ambassador, we hope to get more Indians to come and experience the diverse and refreshing culture of our island country,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ileana D’Cruz responded to the opportunity as, “I’m so happy to be associated with a beautiful country like Fiji. The warmth, hospitality, and love the Fijian people have shown me make me feel like I’m home. I cannot wait to go back and explore more of this lovely paradise.”

With the new association, Ileana D’Cruz plans to visit Fiji by April this year. On the other hand Fiji, tourism board showed an increase of over 30 per cent more tourist arrivals from India, with India being a steady growing market and expecting more arrivals in the coming years.
