Ukraine reaches on agreement with Kuwait on simplification of visa regime

Ukraine and Kuwait have agreed on bilateral simplification of the visa regime during the meeting of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

“An agreement was reached on simplifying the visa regime on the basis of reciprocity and including Ukraine in the list of countries for which citizens visas will be issued at the international airport of Kuwait or electronically. This step should help to increase business contacts and open additional opportunities for national tourism industries,” said a statement.

During the meeting the countries also discussed the possibilities for closer cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations and support of Kuwait’s foreign policy initiatives of Ukraine.

“The delegation also talked about the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the non-permanent membership of Kuwait in the UN Security Council in 2018-2019, in particular on the issue of the UN peacekeeping mission in the occupied part of Donbas, and Ukraine’s membership in the UN Human Rights Council in 2018-2020”.
