Tulip Garden ready to welcome tourists


Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, located at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, is all set to open for tourist from March 25, ahead of the Tulip fest 2018.

Spread across 30 hectors, the garden is the largest of its kind in Asia that contains nearly 1.5 million tulips. Some of the Tulip varieties of the garden includes standard tulips, double bloom, parrot tulips, fringed tulips, bi-colour standard tulips, rembrandt tulips, and triumph tulips etc.

Jammu Kashmir Minister for Reconstruction and Floriculture, Javaid Mustafa Mir recently visited the garden and have made all necessary arrangements for the stalls, ahead of the upcoming Tulip festival.

Meanwhile, floriculture department has installed new water fountain channel similar to that of the one at the Mughal Gardens, followed by additional Wi-Fi facility exclusively for the foreigners.
