Terrorist groups had attacked the French Embassy and an army headquarters, located at Ouagadougou, capital city of Burkina Faso in Africa. According to reports over 8 people died on spot, leaving dozens injured.

Meanwhile, it was the third attack over Ouagadougou in the past three years, which was conducted by associates of Al-Qaeda. This time, terrorist groups linked to Al-Qaeda or ISIS had not taken the responsibility of the attack so far.

Local television channels reported that the attack was unleashed by anonymous gunmen killing 8 soldiers, followed by capturing two attackers by the army personals.

“All the employees inside the embassy was secured by French army leaving no causalities,” said Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Foreign Minister.

According to local eyewitness, attackers came near the embassy by car, leaving sudden gunshots to the trespassers, “there were black smokes everywhere along with loud noise,” said Aristide Voundi, a local salesman.
