Explore the marine world at CMFRI

As part of its 71st foundation day celebrations, Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), India’s biggest research centre for fisheries, is opening its doors for the people to explore and understand the latest research, as well as possibilities of the underwater marine ecosystem on 3rd February, 2018.

The programs will showcase exhibitions as well as education-related contents for the students inside the marine biodiversity museum.

Some of the exhibits include whale shark, dolphin, sea cow, sunfish, poisonous fishes, penguin, sea snakes, starfishes, seahorse, lionfish, different types of algae, followed by the display of an electron microscope that can magnify objects for up to 10 lakh times.

Another attracting feature of the function is the revealing secret behind finding out the ageing-associated to fishes. The forum will also include a question and answer session that will clarify questions related to marine life. The event is open to public from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
