Dubai gears up for Gulfood 2018

Dubai to host the 2018 edition of Gulfood, an annual food and beverage trade event, at Dubai World Trade Centre from 18 to 22 February 2018.

Over 5,000 exhibitors are expected this year across 8 primary market sectors such as beverages, dairy, fats and oil, health and wellness, pulses, grains, cereals, meat and poultry, world food, and power brands.

Gulfood 2018 will showcase Halal World Food- the world’s largest annual Halal food sourcing trade show, the annual Emirates Culinary Guild International Salon Culinaire- the worlds largest single entry chef competition and Gulfood innovation Award etc. The organisers believe that the event would further build up UAE’s prime role in setting up the global food agenda.

Gulfood Innovation Awards would be another attraction of the event with winners of 2018 being announced during the ceremony, followed by government accredited seminars and live demonstrations.

India, on the other hand, is all set to promote its cashew resource and Indian Basmati through the Pavillion at Gulfood 2018.

Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice President, Exhibitions & Events Management, DWTC said that ‘the event is the most dynamic sourcing platform for all the business involved with food.

The previous edition of the event received a total attendance of over 97,000 people and is strictly opened for trade and business purpose.
