New Desktop feature from Facebook

Social Media giant Facebook is analysing its latest feature to add stories from desktop  in order to boost its stories section like that of Instagram. Facebook engineers are constantly researching on latest updates to generate more revenue through advertising.

“We are testing the option to create and share ‘Stories’ from Facebook on desktop and are also testing moving the Stories tray from the top right corner to above News Feed, just like on mobile,” said Facebook spokesperson.

This feature could also add more prominence to group admins, event creators who are constantly in touch with a desktop. The new feature would also merge messenger stories with that of Facebook app to make it less complicated.
