Google launches new ‘Travel Tool’ feature to secure travel

For those who love to travel, the covid pandemic is a huge challenge. Lockdowns, traffic restrictions, and the closure of entertainment venues are all part of the problem. Google says it has recently increased the number of searches on its search engine, such as “travel restrictions” and “where to travel”.

But Google has found a way out of the traveler’s problems. The company is going to add some new features in Google search and Google Maps. In a blog post released yesterday, the company describes the travel tools it introduces in search engines. Google Search includes features that provide Covid 19 related advice to travelers regarding their destination. In addition, Google has come up with a road trip planner and new ways to find destinations.

Through Covid Travel Advisory, Google will provide you with information about Covid controls and quarantine rules upon arrival at your destination. Google has also introduced an e-mail update on what you need to know before heading to certain places. Google will continue to notify passengers via e-mail whether restrictions are imposed, withdrawn, increased, or decreased. This feature is currently available in the United States. It is expected to be released globally soon.

Google’s Explore page for travelers at google.com/travel has also undergone significant changes. You can find out more about places and tourist destinations through the page, which previously only had information about flights and so on. Small towns and national parks can now be found at google.com/travel. To view only cities with airports, simply select ‘Flight Only’ in ‘Travel Mode’. If you select a location, the covid controls and flight information will be displayed. Also know the best time to travel, hotels, etc. For those who like road trips, the company has included some features in the desktop version of Google Maps as well.
