Kerala Looks Ahead – International Conference to discuss opportunities to be held  from 01-03 FEB

‘Kerala Looks Ahead’, an international conference happening at the aegis of the Kerala State Planning Board, held from 01-03 FEB will discuss the opportunities in the tourism sector in a big way. The discussion on the tourism sector is scheduled on 02 FEB  from 02-04 PM.

As per sources, the session on tourism will discuss the ‘Changing Trends in International Tourism’ and ways to take the Kerala Tourism flag ahead with the changing times. The panel will consist of experts from the policy side to the business and experts from the responsible and sustainable tourism side.

Addressing the tourism conference would be Dr. Harold Goodwin, Founder Director of International Centre for Responsible Tourism, UK; Christina Beckmann, Vice President – Global strategy for Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA); Suman Billa, Director – Technical Cooperation and Silk Road Development, UNWTO; Prof Nimit Ranjan Chowdry, Head of Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Jamia Millia Islamia; and Dipak Deva, Managing Director, TCI. Kadakampally Surendran, the Tourism Minister, and Dr. V Venu, Member Secretary, Kerala Planning Board will also be present, representing the state.

Kerala Looks Ahead would be an International Conference and Consultation that will provide a  platform for the Kerala Government to learn from the experiences and best practices across the world,  in its pursuit to modernize the economy and bring the benefits of high growth and inclusive development to all the people of Kerala.

The three-day virtual conference will see leading lights of the Indian industry like Ratan Tata, Anand Mahindra, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Azad Moopan, MA Yusuf Ali addressing a special Industry session.
