Annual Visakha Utsav to be held from December 26 to 28

Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao has announced the tentative dates for conducting the annual Visakha Utsav. The festival will most likely to be held from December 26 to 28. Final dates will be announced in a few days.

This year, the utsav will focus on harnessing local talent and involving local people, and a budget of around Rs 1 crore will be sanctioned for the same.

The three-day city festival held on the famous RK Beach, will host live concerts, folk & classical performances, food pagodas, barbecue pits, cooking contests, sports activities, an amusement zone, flower displays, water sports, paramotoring and much more.

Designed as a tourism festival for the city residents, the festival is going to get bigger in stature this year too with the addition of new & unique activities. There will be Music Concerts & Dance Performances, Amusement Zones featuring various attractions such as ferrous wheel & other numerous rides and games, Exhibition Area, Beach Soccer & Throw Ball, Jathara Folk & Tribal Zone offering the best of Andhra folk and tribal performances, Sports Arena, Adventure Activities like Quad Biking and Para Motoring.

The festival will conclude with Carnival Parade, which will feature a scintillating display of tribal, rural & unique art forms.
