Ellie Shedden to speak on Impact of influential marketing in tourism at ICTT 2019

Influencers are having an increasing impact on people’s travel plans, with the majority of travellers now relying heavily on influencer’s recommendations when planning trips. Ellie Shedden, a qualified marketing specialist and owner of THE-OOP.COM, a digital marketing agency that helps small to medium businesses increase their reach and revenue, will speak on the ‘Impact of influential marketing in tourism’ at at the International Conference on Tourism Technology 2019, organized by ATTOI, at Le Meridian in Kochi on September 26.

Around 60 per cent of  vacationers are swayed by influencers’ recommendations when deciding where to go, while 50 per cent look to influencers’ advice when booking hotels or airlines. The third edition of ICTT, organized by ATTOI, in association with Kerala Tourism, aims at helping the players of tourism industry to stay abreast with the latest technology through effective usage of digital and social media platforms. Around 10 subject experts across the globe will offer their insights on 10 different topics related to online promotion of the business.

The two-day long event will begin on September 26, 2019 and will be concluded on September 27, on the World Tourism Day. Around 500 delegates including tour operators, hoteliers, resort owners, homestays, SEO (search engine optimization) companies, software firms, social media marketing companies and bloggers, are expected to attend the conference at Le Meridian hotel, Kochi.
