India, Croatia ink MoU in culture, tourism

The President, Ram Nath Kovind with the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic

The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its ex-post facto approval on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Croatia in the field of tourism.

The MoU in the field of Tourism will help the two parties in creating an institutional mechanism for enhancing cooperation in the tourism sector.

The MoU has been signed on 26 March, 2019 during the visit of President of India to Croatia.

“Croatia’s popularity in India has increased manifold following Croatian team’s outstanding performance in the FIFA World Cup last year. Croatia’s natural beauty and friendliness are attractions no less, and Indian tourists have started to visit this beautiful country in large numbers. These exchanges and understanding would be most helpful for enhancing two-way business collaborations. Croatia attracted nearly 19 million tourists last year,” said Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India.
