International bus route opens between Dubai and Muscat

RTA Dubai and Oman National Transport Company has opened international bus route to commute passengers between Dubai and Muscat, and the one-way ticket will cost AED55.

RTA’s Public Transport Agency has opened the international bus route between Dubai and Muscat, which aims to boost land transport and ease the mobility of passengers between the two sisterly countries.

An agreement was signed in Dubai by Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of Public Transport Agency, RTA and Ahmed bin Ali Albulushi CEO, MWASALAT Oman. Coaches operating on this route will start at Abu Hail Bus Station, and the one-way ticket will cost AED55.

Bahrozyan praised the agreement considering it an important step towards broadening the scope of international transport between the two sisterly countries.

“RTA is always keen to bring happiness to clients from various community segments including bus commuters using Dubai Bus, Inter-City bus as well as those travelling between Dubai and Muscat,” said Bahrozyan.

Ahmed Albulushi, CEO of MWASALAT Oman, said he was delighted with the signing of the agreement with a leading entity in the field of mass transportation, such as RTA. He stated that RTA had made impressive achievements in a very short time.

“We, at Mwasalat Oman, are keen to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers travelling between the Sultanate and the UAE aboard sophisticated safe and comfortable coaches custom-built for long trips. I hope this step will herald the start of an integrated transport network between the two sisterly nations,” added Albulushi.
