Employment opportunities galore in tourism sector; Online platform of Responsible Tourism is ready

The online platforms developed by the Responsible Tourism Mission under the Department of Tourism are ready. The online platforms are developed with an aim to bring back all the sectors which were shattered during the times of the recent floods in Kerala. The Responsible Tourism Mission Online Platforms are developed to give a fillip to the flood affected tourism sector and also to provide direct and indirect employment to all the people of the state. Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran will inaugurate the online platforms on January 18, at 10.30 in Muscat hotel, Thiruvananthapuram.

The system aims to bring the ordinary people of the state to the digital front of ​​the tourism industry.

1. Kerala Responsy Bill Tourism Network

Te products manufactured by the traditional workers and farmers in the state can be purchased by the hotel industry and the public from now on. From handicraft products to promote tourism, vegetables, fruits, and other produces can be sold directly by the farmers/workers/entrepreneurs without any intermediaries.

Anyone including hotels, tourists, resorts or the general public, can buy products or produces which are available in the state between a price range of Rs 3 and Rs 1 lakh through these platforms.

2. Human Resource Directory

One of the major complaints these days were the non availability of skilled, local labour. But, with this platform, you will be able to select the best from a pool of electricians, plumbers, gardeners, carpenters, masons, drivers etc.

3. Art Art & Cultural Forum

Kerala boasts rich cultural and artistic tradition. But, finding the best performers that fits our cultural shows, have always been a headache. The RT platform provides a list of artists, including the par package, which will help you directly book the required artist online.

The online platform also features the village tourism packages and experiential tourism packages curated by the Responsible Tourism Mission across Kerala where tour operators, tourism entrepreneurs and individuals can book directly. The registration through online platforms is free of charge.

At present, 27,400 users from 13541 units have registered in the platform. The Responsible Tourism Mission aims to make atleast 25,000 units register in the online platforms by March this year.
