DHFC to host the the closing ceremony of Shop Qatar 2018

Doha Festival City (DHFC), participating in Shop Qatar 2018, is preparing to host the closing ceremony raffle draw for the third consecutive year, it was announced yesterday.

Shop Qatar organised by the Qatar National Tourism Council is an annual event that brings shoppers in Qatar massive discounts across various retailers and the opportunity to win extravagant prizes.

This year, DHFC has been chosen to host the closing ceremony raffle to conclude the Shop Qatar festivities on January 20, 2019. according to a statement.

“We are honoured to be chosen to host the Shop Qatar closing ceremony for the third year in a row. We can’t wait to see the amazing turnout for the sales offered by our retailers. We are happy to welcome everyone to come and enjoy the fun festivities we have planned for them,” said Robert Hall, general manager of DHFC.

Prizes include a Range Rover, on display from December 18 at the entertainment node, and QR 800,000 (USD 219,734) in cash prizes.

In addition to a series of all-family fun activities, shoppers can take advantage of massive sale and promotions, on clothing, beauty, hair products, electronics and many other items throughout the duration of the festivities.

During the closing ceremony of Shop Qatar which will be hosted by DHFC, shoppers can win prizes and enjoy live music by a special performer.

During Shop Qatar, the kids will be enthralled with DHFC’s partnership with one of the most popular kids channels, Cartoon Network with Adventure Time Activity Zone, which will recreate The Land of Ooo featuring an array of activities for kids aged between six and 12 until January 2 (2pm-4pm) at the Center Court on the Ground Floor.

The activities will include Jake’s Labrynth, Arts & Crafts, The Magic Man’s Head, Iceberg Mountain, a maze, mini golf, watching TV episodes, a VR experience and lots of photo opportunities.

Visitors of Shop Qatar to DHFC can also experience roaming parades, face-painting and balloon bending during the weekends of this month-long festivity.

DHFC is currently home to more than 400 carefully selected international and local brands, including the country’s only Ikea and the largest Monoprix in the world. The mall hosts some of the most admired names, many of which have made their debut in Qatar at DHFC.

“With more than 100 restaurants and cafes, as well as exclusive attractions such as the country’s first Vox Cinemas 4DX cinema complex and the Angry Birds World Park, DHFC is a destination that offers something for everyone,” the statement added.
