Beauty of Keala backwaters unbeatable: Allu Arjun
Tollywood young star Allu Arjun was the guest of honour at the 66th Nehru Trophy Boat Race took place in Alappuzha on Saturday. The annual sports event is being conducted in a big way this year as the state is reviving from the recent floods that had caused much havoc, and the district authorities want to spread the message that tourism is back in Kerala.

Allu, who has a huge fan base in Kerala, received special welcome with traditional Kerala ‘Chenda melam’ at the venue of the boat race. Thousands of youngsters surrounded his car with cheers for their stylish young star.
Earlier, Allu Arjun reached Kerala to a rousing welcome from fans. The star hero was there along with his wife Sneha Reddy. Allu Arjun and his wife were dressed in stylish white dress. At the stage his seat was provided besides Kerala Governor P Sathasivam, who has inaugurated the function.

Allu was the person assigned to flag off the race. He has also enjoyed cruising in the house boat through the beautiful backwaters of Punnamada.
He thanked the Kerala government for giving him the prestigious opportunity to be the chief guest in the event.
“I thank the government of Kerala for inviting me and giving me the honour to wave the flag at the 66th Nehru Trophy Boat Race. I heart fully thank the people of Kerala for giving me this Honour. THANK YOU” he tweeted.
The also lauded the beauty of Kerala backwaters and promised he would come back soon.
