“I have been planning this cycling expedition for a long time. I am starting my journey from Kashmir as this place is unique, beautiful and it will set a right mood for the expedition,” he added.

Vivek said after spending a few days in Kashmir, he could realize that the state has been negatively portrayed in the media.

“Whatever the media portrays about Kashmir is totally untrue. I have found this place safer than any part of the country. It is the most beautiful place, not only in India but in the world,” he added.

Vivek had a history of paddling around 1,500 km during a cycle expedition in the UK.
