Uttar Pradesh strive to be top of the tourism chart of the country

Uttar Pradesh government is formulated a number promotional programmes to lift the state’s tourism sector to the top of the country.

“Our government is striving to make UP to the top of the country’s tourism chart. The government has come up with a number of programmes to develop tourism”, said Yogi Adityanath, Chief Ministr of Uttar Pradesh. He was addressing the inaugural function of the fourth edition of UP Travel Mart (UPTM) 2018.

In order to increase tourism connectivity, the state has announced new airports in Bareilly, Moradabad, Aligarh and Azamgarh.

The minister also said that the government will give highest priority for safety and security of the tourists.

The forthcoming Pravasi Baratiya Divas to be conducted in Varanasi and the Kumbha Mela in Alahabad will attract over 12 crore people – both domestic and foreign- to the state.

“The government had formulated a programme for the delegates of 192 countries to visit Prayag in Allahabad to witness the Kumbha Mela, which is going to happen in December 2018,” added the minister.

Rita Bahuguna, UP Tourism Minister said that the state has been expediting the works for the establishment of world class infrastructure in the next two years.

“Tourism infrastructure development proposals costing RS 20,000 crore have been generated from the recent UP Tourism Investors Summit. We are trying to materialize the MoUs signed during the summit” added Rita.
