Trains cancelled, delayed and re-scheduled due to heavy rain in Kerala

Indian Railway has issued notification on re-scheduling, cancelling and delaying of trains due to the uninterpreted rain Kerala region.

Nagercoil-Thiruvanananthapuram section.

A landslide occurred between Kuzhithurai and Eraniel stations. Trains are delayed in the section.

Trains delayed

Train No 16128 Guruvayur-Chennai egmore express, Train No 16382 Kanniyakumari-Mumbai CSMT express, Train No 15906 Dibrugarh-Kanniyakumari vivek express and Train No 19424 Gandhidham-Tirunelveli humsafar express is delayed.

Trains fully cancelled.

Train No 56318 Nagercoil-Kochuveli passenger and Train No 56317 Kochuveli-Nagercoil passengers are fully cancelled on 15.08.2018.

Trains partially cancelled.

Train No 56311 Thiruvananthapuram-Nagercoil passenger is partially cancelled between Kuzhithurai-Nagercoil and Train No 56310 Nagercoil-Thiruvananthapuram passenger is partially cancelled between Nagercoil-Kuzhithurai.

Train No 56304 Nagercoil-Kottayam passenger is partally cancelled between Nagercoil-Thiruvananthapuram central.

Kollam-Punalur-Senkotta section

Due to adverse weather the train traffic in Kollam-Punalur section is suspended.

Trains fully cancelled.

Train No 56336 Kollam-Punalur passenger, Train No 56336 Kollam-Senkottai passenger, Train No 56335 Senkottai-Kollam passenger and Train No 56365 Kollam-Edaman passenger are fully cancelled on 15.08.2018

Partial cancellation

Train No 56701 Punalur-Madurai passenger is partially cancelled between Punalur-Kollam and the train will operate from Kollam Jn today.

Thiruvananthapuram-Thrissur section

Trains in the section will be running delayed due to imposing of rising water level in rivers/lakes Speed restriction on certain river bridges. Railway engineering department is constantly monitoring safety of bridges round the clock.

The following changes in train services are implemented  due landslide at Kulitturai-Eraniel section.

1. Train No 16525 Kanniyakumari-KSR Bengaluru express on 15.08.2018 is partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari-Thiruvananthapuram central and will operate towards KSR Bengaluru from Thiruvananthapuram central (at 16:00 hrs.)
2. Train No 16382 Kanniyakumai-Mumbai CSMT express on 15.08.2018 is diverted via Nagercoil-Tirunelveli-Madurai Jn-Erode Jn.
3. Train No 22628 Thiruvananthapuram-Tiruchchirappally intercity will start from Nagercoil Jn on 15.08.2018 as it is partially cancelled between Thiruvananthapuram and Nagercoil.
4. Train No 56716 Kanniyakumari-Punalur passenger is cancelled on 15.08.2018.
