Saputara Monsoon Festival kick started in Gujrat
Renowned Saputara Mnsoon Festival has begun in Gujarat on 4th August 2018, as part of the tourism development programmes of Gujrat Tourism. The festival aims at attracting more tourists to the state during monsoon season.
Saputara will adorn like bride during the festival days. There will be cultural programs every day, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Other attractions of the festival are rain dance, cartoon characters to keep kids entertained, lake lighting and fountain at Saputara Lake.
Saputara, the only hill station in Gujarat, is located in located in Sahyadri Hills or Western Ghats. With its lush forests, waterfalls, hills and valleys Saputara is a perfect summer retreat. During monsoons, it turns into a magical green land, where one can meditate and enjoy natural grandeur. The place will be crowded with trekkers, picnickers, and nature enthusiasts all year; however, the best time to visit Saputara is during the Saputara Monsoon Festival, when the place is all festooned. One can go trekking in the wild jungles, or enjoy a boat ride in the picturesque lake here.
There are a number of tourist attractions in Saputara, other than the cultural events. Saputara lake, Rose garden, Saputara Tribal Museum, Aquarium, Sunset point etc. are the main tourist attractions. The even will conclude on 3rd September, 2018.
