The Oberoi group is planning to start three resorts – one in Kenya and two in India- to explore benefits of wild life tourism.
As per reports, The EIH group, one of the giants in the hospitality industry, will start a luxury resort on the outskirts of Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Named as The Oberoi Wildlife Resort, the new hospitality center will spread on a 5000-acre site overlooking the Mara valley offering views of Mara Triangle and annual migration of animals from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania into the Maasai Mara in search of green pasture.. The resort is expected to start functioning in the first quarter of 2020.
“There would be 25 luxurious tents, two restaurants, a bar and spa,” said P.R.S. Oberoi, EIH chairman, on the side lines of the annual general meeting of EIH on 1st August 2018.
Two new wild life resorts will be started in India. One on the border of Gir National Park in Gujarat and the other, five kilo meters from Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh. These two resorts will be opened for public by the third quarter of 2020.
