Kerala Tourism’s Eid Mubarak video goes viral

Kerala Tourism has launched a video to greet Islam followers on the occasion of Eid-ul-fitr. The video is aiming to attract travellers to Kerala during the festive season by projecting the festive theme, cuisine and ambiance.

The video highlights life of an Islam devotee family on a day during the holy month of Ramadan. The video titled Eid Mubarak lasts for 90 seconds. The video can be watched from the following link:

It depicts how a day in holy Ramadan starts for a devotee. Formal prayers, preparation of food, breaking the fast etc are pictured in a very beautiful way.

Kerala Tourism expects the video to become viral in the social media and thus lure more people, especially from the Middle East to visit Kerala during the holy month of Ramadan and to celebrate Eid-ul-fitr with their family and loved ones.

The video concludes with the variety of food at the time of ‘breaking of fast’ (Iftar), and the image of the iconic Palayam mosque in the state capital, Thiruvananthapuram.

Eid marks the end of Ramadan, a religious tradition where Muslims abstain from food and water between dawn to dusk during the period. They follow the Islamic lunar calendar where the followers of the faith offer Eid prayers in Eid gahs and mosques on the first day of the month of Shawwal.

People observe roza (fast) during the holy month of Ramadan and people are already gearing up to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with great fervour and gaiety. This year, Eid ul-Fitr in India is expected to be on June 15, Friday.
