Gulf visa centres, passport printing to come up in Krishna district

Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district is soon to have passport printing and Gulf visa application centres soon. “Once we get the passport printing facility here we can get passports printed and delivered quickly. Also, we are going to get visa centres of the Gulf countries. People travelling to the Gulf will be spared the trouble of visiting other States to get visas,” Krishna Collector B Lakshmikantham explained the plans.

The people of Krishna district are depending on he Regional Passport Office in Visakhapatnam to get passports at present. The Collector also informed that the proposal for international flights from Vijayawada to Dubai via Singapore is under active consideration and Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu had given impetus to the plans.

Two temple tourism bus services would also be introduced on June 16 and 17, which would cover Vedadri Narasimha Swamy temple, Mangalagiri and the other temples between the two places and another one between Mangalagiri and Mopidevi. The tickets are priced at Rs 750 per head. The services would be available twice a week.
