TripAdvisor announces 2018 Travelers’ Choice awards for Vacation Rentals

Awarded Luxury Beach Villa – Pinilla, Costa Rica

TripAdvisor has announced the winners of the second annual Travelers’ Choice awards for Rentals. 30 best holiday homes across the globe are awarded across three categories i.e. Luxury ($300+ USD per night), Mid-Range ($100-150 USD per night) and Affordable ($99 USD per night and below). A Cozy Designer Minerva Apartment located in downtown Rome was declared the winner in Affordable category with the rates starting as low as $66 per night. An oceanfront condo in Kauai, Hawaii tops the list in Mid-Range category. A Luxury category was topped by a Costa Rican beach rental. We can be proud that The Nest from Goa has been featured in the list of Top 10 Affordable rentals.

The awards are based on traveler ratings and reviews, owner behaviors during the booking process like response times and booking acceptance rates. The winning homes have amenities which all travellers love like breathtaking views, private pools, hot tubs, game rooms etc. A recent TripAdvisor survey showed that 64% of US travellers like to stay in a vacation rental in 2018. The Travelers’ Choice awards are announced annually for categories including hotels, flights, destinations and restaurants.

The second year Travelers’ Choice awards also witnessed seven rentals appearing as repeat winners from last year like The Hoblet, Spacious Apt. in Vatican area, St. Michael’s, Villa La Ruga, Casa Cielo Volcano View Retreat, Palazzo Di P and VillaCasa 7 – Marbella. The winners are featured from these countries: South Africa, USA, Canada, India, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Costa Rica, England, Greece, Mauritius, Scotland and Wales.
